This comprehensive, basic 40-hour course in Private Investigation will facilitate a career in the investigative field. This course is also designed for individuals in other careers who need to obtain information, e.g. paralegal, legal secretaries, insurance adjusters, attorneys, collection agencies, nurse legal consultants, law enforcement, or students of criminal justice or law.
This 40-hour course spans two weekends and includes topics such as: private investigation as a profession, legal terminology, overview of Federal and State laws, interviewing clients or witnesses, civil domestics (divorce, child custody), research methods, accident reconstruction and much more. Through written and oral assignments, interactive participation and testing, students will gain a working knowledge of private investigation.
A Certificate of Completion will be issued upon passing an exam at the conclusion of the 40-hour course.
