Course Details and Course DatesHave You Always Wanted To Become Private Investigator And Didn't Know Where To Start? ... This comprehensive, basic 40-hour course in Private Investigation will facilitate a career in the investigative field. This course is also designed as an adjunct for an individual in another career, who needs to obtain information, e.g. paralegals, legal secretaries, insurance adjusters, attorneys, collection agencies, nurse legal consultants, law enforcement, criminal justice students.

This 40-hour certificate program includes:
• Private investigation as a profession • Overview of Federal and State laws as they involve the private investigator
• Overview of Georgia codes and statutes as they pertain to the practice of private investigation
• Techniques of testifying in court, interviewing and taking statements, and researching public records and computer databases
• How to write an investigative report
• Accident reconstruction
• Investigation of criminal and civil cases, personal injury, workmen's compensation, and missing domestics (divorce and child custody investigations) process service, and small office management for investigators
• Techniques of pre-surveillance and surveillance • Ethics as practiced in the profession of private investigation
• Written and oral examinations

Program Cancellation and Refund PolicyThe Georgia Center will gladly issue full refunds (minus a $50 processing fee) for cancellations made 10 business days before the first day of the Course. No refunds will be issued after this deadline. Substitutions are welcomed with advance written notice to the Georgia Center. If a program is cancelled for any reason, the Georgia Center will not be responsible for any cancellation changes/charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
