PI EDUCATION

RGS SPECIALIST, INC. RGS is an educational specialist in the field of private investigation and other course venues. Private investigation affords little opportunity for the individual to study the field with established institutions supporting the course study.

RGS has over 4 years experience with the instruction of private investigation within the University system of professional developemt and provides CEU credits to the student upon completion of the course. RGS Specialists, only holds courses on a university campus or university online venue.

This website is designed for the enrichment of a student of basic private investigation. We will supply the student with a basic overview in the private investigation industry. Our courses will prepare the student with the basics to pursue the profession of private investigation as a career. Every student has the opportunity to obtain a “working” knowledge of the private investigation industry that will facilitate in advancing their career.

Courses with RGS supply an introduction to the legal system, of which, our country is founded. This knowledge will enlighten the student on what the courts can and cannot accomplish in the scope of its authority. A clear pathway to the process of Federal Criminal Procedure and Federal Civil Procedure as it works in our judicial system is shown. The foundation of a state is a system of codes and statutes that regulate state government. The student of private investigation will be introduced to the codes and statutes as they fall within the scope of the private investigator. States as they govern themselves by these set rules or codes and the appellant process that affords the added potential of a fair and just trial are covered in detail.

Specific state codes are provided for study. Also, included are the domestic laws as they pertain to private investigation, and staying within the scope of the legal process for the investigator. How does the investigator gather information for the private client, attorney or corporation? Also, covered are the laws that govern the private investigator in the performance of his/ her profession and serve to protect the investigator in times of need. The basic structure of private investigation as a profession and how to be a private investigator is covered in extensive text, activities, discussions, and student interactivity, as well as class assignments.

We also make the student aware of the requirements of a professional investigator and the many areas of specialization for the investigator to consider. The process of building an investigative case from the client call to the final report submission, and closing of the case is covered. The student will be aware of the secrets of the trade, and learn how to conduct themselves in the private investigative field. The student with an inquisitive mind and an attention for detail will find the field of private investigation a fascinating and rewarding career.

Private investigation has escalated in popularity and demand in the past ten years. The profession is considered an important part of criminal investigations. Civil litigations often use a private investigator for both the plaintiff and defendant. Governed by education and licensure, private investigation has become a respected field in both the community and the legal system. How the attorney relies on the investigator for gathering evidence for the client is unsurpassed in any other information gathering field. The testimony of the private investigator in a courtroom setting is oftentimes the basis of a just verdict. The basics of the investigative report and how to write it successfully are covered, with the student being required to turn in a fabricated investigative report. The process of reporting the facts to the client or to the attorney of record is made clear. Closing a case is often as important as opening the case file for your client.

Courtroom conduct is often the area a student needs to be confident in themselves, as well as, the facts presented. This is often the “fear” area for the new investigator. Activities are provided that will encourage a student to gain this confidence of testifying in court. It has been our endeavor at RGS Specialist, Inc to present the contents our our courses' and workshops in a clear and precise manner. A deliberate attempt is made to leave out insignificant information, and present only the basic information for the student to pursue a career in the private investigation industry. However, the student that is not a typical beginning student can attend anyone of the many workshops in advanced courses.
Knowledge is power, and having a knowledge of the basics is the first step to serve a student in his/her current profession or for a new career in private investigation. A student with basic knowledge of the industry can build upon this knowledge with experience, dedication, determination and desire to obtain a successful career in the industry.
All course work and class lectures are monitored and instructed by licensed private investigators. Guest instructors may be called upon to supply instruction and input into the course material. All modern technology in teaching aids are used to facilitate the student in the learning process. On campus classes are conducted with lecture, powerpoint, smartboard, computer data bases for student participation.
